Domina Bellydanec Costumes - classy costumes for the sophisticated dancer

Domina Bellydance Costumes

Domina - meaning a female lord or wealthy landowning woman

Domina costumes are designed for dancers who want to feel like a Domina.  Domina was created by Danielle of Harem Dancers, a Middle Eastern belly dance performer since 1994.  Therefore, Domina costumes are created by a dancer knows what other dancers demands of their practice gear, student night outfit, and professional performance costumes.

Inspiration:
Domina costumes are diverse in that several styles of costumes and pieces are offered.  Domina provides practice gear, mix and match pieces, student show pieces, beginners costumes, tribal-style outfits, folkloric costumes, as well as full sets for professional performances.  Folkloric costumes can even be used for SCA and Renaissance events.  Many Domina performance costumes are inspired by the classy evening gowns worn by dancers of the 1940s and 50s, such as Samia Gamal and Tahiya Karioka, as well as elegant ballroom dresses.  Oftentimes it is the fabric itself that dictates the style of the costume, and since fabric is currently not bought in bulk, costumes are generally unique, one of a kind pieces that are tailored specifically for the fabric and style of dance they are intended for.

Dancers come in all shapes and sizes, and Domina costumes aim to flatter all kinds of dancer.  Custom orders are a great way to ensure that you get the fit you need!  Contact Domina about custom-made costumes at info@dominabellydancecostumes.com
